Your education at Hamrick School includes classroom instruction, lab time and coordinated clinical experience:

• You are given CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION in the physical and social sciences (structure and function of the human body, communication, and lifespan growth and development).
• The major portion of the curriculum will be NURSING COURSES that provide the knowledge and skills you will need to pursue a nursing career.
• Our NURSING TECHNOLOGY LAB will allow you to practice essential skills and gain confidence in your abilities.  This includes assessment of clients’ needs, both physical and psychological.
• In conjunction with classroom and lab instruction, you will have CLINICAL EXPERIENCE, affording you the opportunity to work with clients.  Clinical sites include long-term care facilities and outpatient facilities.  Clinical Instructors will be there to assist you in your learning and help you reach your potential.

Upon completion of the program, you will be eligible to take the NCLEX-PN (National Licensing Exam) and receive your license to practice nursing.
